How to make good use of Cetus-Mix – Stable Diffusion Anime Prompts.

Cetus-Mix is an exceptional 2D anime base model. While other versatile models have some quirks, Cetus-Mix quickly became my go-to choice for its ability to effortlessly provide everything I wanted to render, from backgrounds to characters and even unconventional ideas. It offers a level of quality that sets it apart from its counterparts.

Although it shares some common issues with other models, such as imperfect hand rendering (maybe even more than others), Cetus-Mix remains highly beginner-friendly. It allows users to achieve impressive results even when using minimal negative and quality-boosting prompts.

In terms of artistic style, Cetus-Mix strikes a perfect balance, falling between the softer, more delicate aesthetics of Meina Pastel and the sharper lines and edges of Hassaku. This positioning makes it a preferred choice for users seeking a blend of artistic expression and defined contours.

Use this model by adding <cetus> into your prompts.

Pros:

Reliable.
Works well with various loras.
Great for remixing.
Great color saturation.
Great versatility.
Very easy to use.

Cons:

It can be too artistic – it’s hard to get clean and simple renders from it.
Struggles with making proper hands and fingers.
Some results don’t look too appealing before using a high-res fix (/high-def) or remixing.

1. Let’s not break the tradition and start with a cute panda girl. One of those lights is unlike the others.

Cetus doesn’t need many negative or quality-boosting prompts and can produce good-quality renders even with a single prompt. But it has a very strong tendency for the color blue and water – try rendering ‘1girl’ with it. However, given more to work with, Cetus adapts and transforms accordingly to the user’s imagination.

2. Stable Diffusion can handle approximately 75 positive and 75 negative tokens at once. This means that using more precise wording and stronger prompts will allow for better control over the results. It also means that I’ve been going way over this limit in my last guide, which explains why half of my prompts had been ignored. However, keeping this limit in mind and utilizing a tokenizer made rendering what I wanted easier.

The pictures made by <cetus> are alright, but they could look even better. This is when remix (or /more) comes into play. Next to each picture is its version after a remix or two.

Things to keep in mind:

Keep strength low while remixing, about 0.3-0.45
Increasing guidance helps to get better results (12-18).
You can slowly increase the size with each remix; it will improve quality.
Adding new loras while remixing is possible; <detail-tweaker>, <detail-maker>, or <noise-dark> are great for that.
You can obtain more variety by using random seeds, but keeping it unchanged also works.
Facelifting to a bigger size gives the AI more pixels to work with. This is especially useful when using /more command, but it helps with /remix as well.

5. LoRas are a great way to enhance every base model. They serve as valuable ingredients, similar to spices, improving the overall quality of the output and introducing various effects. The majority of examples in this guide feature one or more LoRas, showcasing their countless possibilities.

What’s more, it’s possible to use LoRas with negative weight which is very unpredictable, but also a very fun way of experimenting.
