How to make good use of ReV Animated – Stable Diffusion Anime Prompts.

ReV Animated is a superb AI model for more realistic but still fantastical anime-like images. It is one of the most popular models available on our ever-growing list, and not without reason. It’s the favorite of many of our users. With just a handful of prompts, it can become a great waifu-maker. Nevertheless, it’s capable of much more than just perfect portraits.

It works best with small sizes like 512×768 but can easily handle bigger ones like 1024×1024. While first starting to play with this model, it is recommended to include prompts: ((best quality)), ((masterpiece)), (detailed) at the very beginning. This will ensure that your initial renders will be of higher quality.

ReV Animated doesn’t try to force NSFW content upon the user, but it can handle more spice stuff pretty well when asked to. However, like a fountain of youth, it makes everyone look younger than other models. If you’re aiming for a good-looking woman in her 20s, make sure to include prompts like her exact age.

Use this model by adding <revani> into your prompts.

Pros:

Very easy to use and recommended for beginners.
Wide range of possible effects and styles (semi-realistic 2.5D).
Works well with various loras.
Superb for portraits.
Good balance between SFW and NSFW, although the latter may be a bit tricky to achieve.

Cons:

With too many quality prompts, all faces start looking similar.
Obtaining certain expressions and emotions can be problematic.
Has a tendency to put the character right in the center of the foreground, ignoring positioning and background prompts.
Sometimes produces plastic looking faces.

ReV Animated was updated after I had prepared almost all the pictures for this guide. This made obtaining the same results by copying my prompts impossible. That’s why I won’t include the seed for each render this time. BUT! The provided prompts will still produce a similar result to the one shown here.

1. Let’s start with something simple. An adorable panda girl wearing a lovely hat.

Alright, but what if we don’t want a girl attached to everything we render? There’s a simple way to do it.

By simply putting the prompt ‘landscape’ (or something similar), we can ensure that the focus will switch appropriately. I’ve also raised guidance so the AI is less creative and considers our prompts more. Using higher guidance levels with <revani> makes the renders clear and sharp in exchange for finer details.

3. Templates are a good to start with, but rendering is all about creativity. The real fun begins when we let our imagination flow. It’s worth checking how we structure our prompts occasionally to see if we haven’t developed a habit. For example, I prefer grouping all negative prompts after positive ones. It works but also limits the obtainable results. Moving one or two negative prompts to the front can give us better control over such things as body proportions, unwanted elements, nudity, and more.

Below is a mixed bag of characters I’ve made while playing with <revani>. Let’s start with cute girls:

Not all of the rendered girls were entirely sane and wholesome. Adding <noise> lora works well if you want to introduce a darker vibe.

Thanks to the newly added <slimegirl> lora, I created a cute slimy girl. ReV Animated is very good at making various monster-girls and their variations.

Monsters (normal ones) can be easily mass produced. The combination of <giger> and <noise8> provides a darker, slightly oppressive vibe.

4. It’s good to try rendering things you don’t usually dabble in. This can give birth to new ideas and refine the usage of prompts.

5. NSFW renders are trickier to produce than SFW ones, as it can be hard to position everyone without merging them together. But it’s most certainly possible (especially with the usage of one of the many loras specializing in this). Producing a perfect render usually takes some time, but there are a few ways that can speed up this process.

Lowering the size of renders to 512×768 and using /images:9 will help with producing a result we like. Newly improved /inpaint allows making controlled changes to the picture, like removing extra limbs. Then with either the command /more /size:1024×1024 or /remix /size:1024×1024 (with a string of prompts attached and low strength), we can make it bigger and refine details. While I can’t show the more explicit NSFW renders, I will at least give a little taste of what can be achieved in <revani>.

With a little patience, it’s possible to fix one of your favorites and make it look a lot better. There are many tools provided by animemaker.ai for this purpose. The picture below was remixed a few times and inpainted after I censored it.

<povmissionary> this lora is one of those that work best when rendering in lower resolutions. Otherwise, it will produce a lot of mangled limbs.

6. Guest corner. Many users in our community produce astonishing results with this model. I’ve asked one of our resident <revani> masters @fan to share some of his secrets, and he provided a sample of his work with different expressions and ethnicities.

Here are a few fantastic tips from him:

“Revani has a few bad issues. It wants the person to look at the viewer and likes to make people white or with pale skin. If you indicate dark skin, then they become black.”
“Revani is okay with constricting prompts, if you have too much of a certain race, for example (white, Mexican, Korean, Japanese) revani LOVE to immediately make someone look Asian. So to fix this, I add the race I want and then put the rest in negative.”
“When making more dynamic expressions such as anger, revani tends to make the person skinner and muscular, so playing around with [muscular] and (round face) helps with this issue.”
“Revani works really well with a few loras, such as; sideboob, downblouse, skirtlift, povmisson (anal and normal), and tit fuck. You can modify some of these to get good-looking jizz or stuff like that. Although that takes a bit more practice.”
